Infant Classroom Teacher

Job description

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:*

  • Providing exceptional care, education and supervision for children while maintaining appropriate teacher-to-student ratios
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Providing social-emotional guidance and support for children
  • Completing additional daily operational tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing classrooms and adjacent areas
  • Collaborating with co-teacher and other staff to develop and follow best practices for classroom instruction and care
  • Communicating with parents on a daily basis, both in person and via student daily on-line reporting system

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in infant and/or toddler settings is required
  • Candidates must complete satisfactory FBI and BCI background checks and must participate in a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training safe environment seminar
  • Candidates must be enthusiastic, passionate, charismatic and nurturing
  • Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrate a solid work ethic
  • Catholic (Preferred)

Experience:

Childcare: 2+ years (Required)
Teaching: Must have 2 years of continuous experience in an infant setting (Required)

Early Childhood Teacher

About: Our Lady of Bethlehem is seeking candidates for a full-time childcare teacher.
The position requires availability during the week, Monday through Friday, between the
hours of 6:45 am – 6:00 pm. Shift and schedule may vary by day.

    through five while maintaining appropriate teacher-to-student ratios
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and
    activities
  • Providing social-emotional guidance and support for children
  • Completing additional daily operational tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing
    classrooms and adjacent areas
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to develop and follow best practices
    for classroom instruction and care
  • Communicating with parents on a daily basis

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or

  • At least two years of experience in a childcare setting is required
