SUMMER PROGRAM TEACHER (part and full-time available)
  • About: Become a Summer Program teacher that gets you out with children, nature, activities, field trips and more! Join Our Lady of Bethlehem School and Childcare (OLB) this summer for some fun in the sun! We are looking for candidates that have charisma, enthusiasm and a passion to educate children as young as 3 years through 6th grade. Candidates should have experience related to childcare or have experience with being in a summer program. Candidates should also have experience with these age groups, but it is not required.

    The position is preferred to be filled with full-time employment but we are willing to work with part-time candidates. The position both full or part-time would consist working during the week, Monday-Friday, typically from 8am-5pm, however candidates should expect to open at least 1 day a week at 6:45am and to close at least 1 day a week at 6:00pm.

  • Responsibility: Care for the students in your group, monitoring of activity and group ratio, assisting in the design of lesson plans that go with the week or month theme, daily cleaning, helping with crafts, help with restroom breaks,  indoor and outdoor activities such as recess, assisting children during lunch, assisting children during restroom breaks if needed, naps and more. Responsibilities such as creating lesson plans for assigned class group related to overall Summer Program theme. Overseeing student group during field trips, swimming and free time/recess, cleaning, nap, snack etc.

  • Requirements: We are looking for candidates that want to work during the summer! Employment would start in early-mid May and go through the summer. Our last day of the summer program is Friday, August 14.


PRESCHOOL TEACHER for the 2020-21 School Year
  • About: We are seeking a qualified Preschool Teacher for the 2019-20 school year to prepare three and early four-year-olds for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten by introducing them to organized education.  This preparation is key for children’s success in early education, school life and beyond.
  • Requirements:  Must have a teaching license; FBI and BCI background checks that comply with Ohio Revised Code; a great love and patience for young children; exemplary communication skills; classroom experience that may include field hours, student teaching, etc.; willingness to develop professionally and collaboratively; knowledge of best practice and preschool educational methods.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
    • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
    • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
    • Encourage children to interact with each other and deliver guidance and discipline
    • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
    • Track children’s progress and report to parents
    • Communicate with parents regularly about classroom happenings and student progress
    • Collaborate with other educators
    • Maintain a creative and clean classroom
